SRUTI (Society for Rural Urban & Tribal Initiative) is organising a 2 day meet on 29-30 September 2011 at the Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
On Thursday, 29.9.2011 is a deliberation on Land Issues focusing on the LARR Bill, 2011, where we hope to share past and ongoing experiences from the ground; analyze/ interpret the possible scope & implications of the Bill, and attempt to strategize the way forward.
On the afternoon of Friday, 30.9.2011, we will be screening short films made through the SRUTI Advocacy Fellowship. These films document key issues and struggles for justice in India, many of which are addressed by the SRUTI Fellows through peoples’ movements and individual efforts in different parts of the country.
