Lal Prakash Rahi’s journey has been characterized by a deep commitment to social and political causes, stemming from his early days as a student. He earned his LLB degree from Purvanchal University. Growing up, he was a staunch advocate for the rights of the common people. During his college years, Rahi established the Naujawan Bharat Sabha, an organization dedicated to empowering youth and championing their voices in the political landscape.

Over the years, Rahi’s unwavering dedication to progressive causes has remained unshaken. He has lent his support to numerous forward-thinking organizations, actively participating in their endeavours to create a more equitable and just society. One of his notable contributions has been his involvement with the Kisan Sangram Samiti, an organization working tirelessly to uplift the rights of farm labourers, a community often marginalized and exploited.

Rahi has founded an organisation – Dialogue In Solidarity Harmony & Action (DISHA) with which he has embarked on a mission to organize and mobilize people from diverse backgrounds. Rahi seeks to foster a sense of unity, cooperation, and collective action among individuals who share his vision for a better, fairer world.

He is also a committed educator. He conducts workshops on alternative school education in five villages, where the primary objective is to instil a scientific temperament in young minds. DISHA’s reach has expanded to different parts of Jaunpur, where it actively promotes the principles of equity, social justice, and fraternity. Rahi and his team tirelessly educate the community on the significance of land tenure rights and secure land rights. He extends his support to daily wage labourers and migrant workers. Through his efforts, he addresses their issues and sensitizes them to their labour rights, ensuring that they receive fair treatment and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
