Dhenkanal is one of the centrally positioned districts of Odisha and is surrounded by Keonjhar, Jajpur, Cuttack and Angul districts. Surrounded by mountains and dense forests, these regions are abundant in natural resources.

Adivasi Kranti Sangathan

Dhenkanal and its adjoining districts were under feudal rule before independence. This region is rich in its forest and mineral resources.

"I did not know anything; whether one needed to start work first and then register the sanstha, or register first and then begin the work. I was completely naïve," Mamta reminisces about the early days.

Bahishkrit Hitkari Sangathan

Located in North Central Bihar, Khagaria is one of the most deprived districts in the state of Bihar. Ganga, Kosi and Bagmati are the main rivers flowing through the district, making the land extremely fertile but also prone to floods. A thick forest cover in the area acts as a hideout for the Maoists.

Bundelkhand Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan

Ruled by the Chandelas until the sixteenth century, the area of Bundelkhand area comprises the districts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh — Damoh, Sagar, Chhattarpur, Panna, Tikamgarh, part of Satna, and right up to Gwalior, from Madhya Pradesh; Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Lalitpur and Banda districts of Uttar Pradesh.
